We are very excited to welcome our incoming first years on Friday 28th August 2026 at 8.50am in full RCS uniform for the beginning of their journey with us in Ramsgrange Community School.

On Friday, 28th August, our new first year students will get a chance to meet with their class tutors and year heads (Ms. Jane Healy & Ms. Tara McDonnell) and of course meet new friends ready to start on this journey with them. We also hope to introduce our school prefects and meitheal leaders to the first year group. First year students are asked to just bring their pencil case with them on day 1 and to note that a small snack will be provided by RCS.
Lots of information is available on our school website which has been prepared to support our first year students transition into post primary school. We invite students and parents to check out the Transition booklet for Incoming 1st Years and also to learn more about our school on the Student Information tab on our website Ramsgrange Community School. Parents too will find useful information using the Parent Information tab.
We also wish to invite all 1st year parents to attend a coffee morning especially organised by our Home School Community Liaison (HSCL) teacher Ms. Mary Cullinane, from 10am to 10.45am in the school.
We wish our 1st year students and their parents well as they begin this exciting stage of their educational journey with us in RCS.
