Our school community recently celebrated a proud and memorable achievement of securing a Wellread Award at the National Awards, held in the The Killeshin Hotel in Portlaoise. This special event recognised the dedication, creativity, and commitment shown by schools across the country in fostering a love of reading—and we were honoured to be one of the fourteen schools who received an award. We were represented by four of our students on the day.
Receiving this award is a testament to the collective effort of our entire school community. From students who enthusiastically engage with books, to staff who consistently promote reading in innovative and meaningful ways, to parents and the wider community who continuously support us, this achievement reflects a shared belief in the power of literacy to inspire, connect, and empower.
A very special word of thanks must go to Ms. Hearne for her phenomenal work in coordinating and organising every aspect of our Wellread journey. Her passion and attention to detail ensures that reading remains at the heart of Ramsgrange CS.
We are incredibly proud of this accomplishent and look forward to continuing to build on this success, nurturing a lifelong love of reading in all members of our school community.
