About the RCS Farmers Club
At RCS, our Farmer’s Club is a great place for like-minded students to come together every Thursday at lunchtime to share their passion for farming and rural life.
What do we do in Farmers Club?
Each week, we read and discuss stories and topics from the The Farmers Journal, keeping up to date with everything happening in the agricultural world. From chatting about silage season and busy days in the fields to sharing stories from local tractor runs, there is always plenty to talk about. One of the highlights of the year is the excitement and anticipation surrounding the annual National Ploughing Championships, which we eagerly look forward to every year.
We have visited Open Days at Kildalton Agricultural College and have done farm visits with the Ag Science classes. We have featured in The Farmers Jounal previously and on national TV also.
Who can join Farmers Club?
The club is built on fun, camaraderie, and a shared love of farming, giving everyone a chance to relax, have a laugh, and spend time with people who understand and appreciate country life. So if you love farming and what to spend time with others who feel the same, then this club is for you. It is a club where great friendships have been forged.
The RCS Farmers club is open to everyone and we love when students and staff pop in for a chat and a little bit of chocolate!! Farmer’s Club is run by our School Chaplain M. McCabe
