Chaplain

What is the role of the Chaplain?

At Ramsgrange Community School, our school chaplain, Ms. McCabe plays an integral role in the spiritual and pastoral guidance of our students. If you would like to assist Ms. McCabe with any of the duties for students listed below be sure to call to her office and let her know.

Some of her duties include:

  • Participating in Student Support Team meetings
  • Teaching Religion classes
  • Coordinating various masses throughout the year, including the opening of the year mass and graduation mass

  • Providing spirtual support and guidance to our students.
  • Providing counselling and mediation support in bullying and friendship issues
  • Coordination of the Meitheal Leadership programme in RCS (an anti-bullying mentorship programme to support 1st years)
  • Facilitating the Pope John Paul II Award
  • Maintaining the school "Sacred Space" with Students
